The Weekly Update Volume 5
Sorry for being a day late.
I've been writing these for roughly a month now. I don't really know if I like the weekly here's the stuff I've read/watched/played/listened to. It's definitely helped me with thinking more critically on the media I consume(I hate using that word). But I've been thinking about changing these to being more of a monthly thing instead. If I did shift these kinds of post to being monthly then I probably would start with it at the end of March and have February still be all weekly posts.
I've also been thinking about just making more specific blog posts and/or reviews. Nothing really in mind at the moment, but most of the stuff I would write about would be pertaining to video games.

Games
- Street Fighter 6 - Finally managed to hit platinum as Cammy(my main). I started to mess around with Akuma. I've never really been sold on Cammy being my main and right now Akuma seems the most interesting, though Mai might be fun. Really wish that there were more written guides for SF rather than everything being a youtube video or hiding on a discord.
- Apex Legends - I'm at a weird point where I don’t really know how to get better at the game. It feels so RNG dependant that it's hard to pinpoint what to actually improve or how to improve outside of just like aiming better or slight micro improvements (aka don't fight in an open area).
- Xenoblade Chronicles DE - Only a few hours into it right now. So far I thinks it's pretty ok. It's not super clicking with me yet.
- Rift of the NecroDancer - Dude this game is so good.
Reading
Started up two newish shonen jump manga series this week. I don’t know if it’s just me growing out of shonen (or shonen jump specifically), but both series felt kind of generic. Like both seem a bit interesting but they both just follow the same formula I’ve seen before. Hopefully when they get into their first big arcs it makes them stand out more. One Piece is still king though.
Ended up putting City of Saints and Madmen on the DNF pile (well the maybe finish at some point pile).
- One Piece CH 1138 - So that mural means Loki is probably a good guy right? Cause to me the giant in the third world looks really close to him to me.
- Ichi the Witch - I binged through the first 20 chapters after seeing it pop on my bluesky feed. Seems to be standard shonen fair, kind of reminds me of a mix between Black Clover and Claymore.
- Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi - I very much enjoy the character dynamics. Though I worry about the story pacing. It feels like it like its in rush mode and if it's not in rush to the end then the power scaling is going to a big issue the longer it goes on.
- Vengeful by V.E. Scwhab - The story has started to pick up its pace and I'm starting to really vibe with it again.
Watching
- Samurai Champloo - Some of the episodes are more of a bummer than I remember.
